Information in English about aspects of my work as a mental health counselor and psychotherapist in Tokyo with links to some of the counseling center, group therapy and multicultural support group, rehabilitation daycare, JFP certified psychotherapy and psychiatric medical services my colleagues provide at Hozumi Clinic, Ikebukuro Counseling Center and Tokyo Counseling Support Service.

  Ikebukuro Counseling Center provides individual, couples and family mental health counseling and psychotherapy services in English and Japanese for all Tokyo area residents who are experiencing problems in their personal, social, working, and cross cultural relationships including stress, anxiety, depression, lacking confidence, social isolation, marriage, divorce and relationship issues, compulsive behavior, crisis, trauma, PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder), sexual abuse, domestic violence. English and Japanese speaking counselors and clinical psychologists.

 Ikebukuro Counseling Center (in Japanese)

  The English Communication Group (Tokyo Counseling Service) is a support group held in English and was designed to help Japanese adults gain more confidence to express themselves and better understand their feelings while enjoying communication with other people who are experiencing similar feelings.

  The Multicultural Support Group (Tokyo Counseling Service) provides a space where people living in the Tokyo area with multicultural backgrounds can freely express their feelings and experiences and receive mutual support. If you spent several years living in another country or countries as a child or teenager and/or if one of your parents was born and raised in a different culture then this could be for you.

  The Dance Movement Therapy Group (Tokyo Counseling Service) is for anyone living in the Tokyo area with an interest in expressing and learning more about themselves and personal growth through dance movement. This group is facilitated by Kyoko Jingu MA, an American Dance Therapy Association registered dance movement therapist (AMDR).

  Hozumi Clinic is a medical center providing affordable, professional and confidential client centered psychiatric support, consultation, diagnosis, treatment and psychotherapy services for Tokyo area residents. A licensed psychiatrist is on duty daily (except Sunday) to assist individuals, couples and families experiencing stress, anxiety, depression or other difficulties in their interpersonal, family, social or working relationships. Naturally the Japanese National Health Insurance card is accepted.

  Hozumi Clinic Day Care Center (In Japanese) provides mental health rehabilitation counseling day and evening care facilities and support programs to assist people recovering from stress related and other mental health conditions in a constructive and person centered environment. A psychiatrist is on duty daily from Monday to Saturday.
